How to Occupy Your Toddler When Doing Housework

Parenting is hard work, but it’s not the only thing a mom has to do. She also needs to cook, clean, wash dishes and clothes, work in the garden and occasionally have a rest too. With a toddler, this is not going to be easy. Luckily there are some strategies that give moms some time for themselves or their housework while the kid is occupied with something else . That doesn’t necessarily mean you have to buy him or her a ton of toys. The best way is to engage the child in what you are doing . Give your toddler some easy tasks and call it “work”, kids love to be important and do important stuff. For example have the toddler sort the silverware or mop the floor while cooking in the kitchen. When you are working with your computer, give the kid a disconnected keyboard, that will be a lot of fun and can occupy the kid for more than 15 minutes. All kind of crafting tasks are also favorites for many children.
